That's 29 projects! I have 9 more projects that will have to be finished in 2011. I tend to have at least 9 projects going at the same time because I get bored with some of the patterns.

Have a great New Year!!

Seaweed Cardigan - DONE!!!

Started May 7/10 Finished Jan 1/11

This pattern is easy but it takes a while to knit up.

Jul 25/10 - I was almost done the back until I realized that I messed up on the sleeves. So I will have to frog back to the start of the sleeves. I'm so sad!

Aug 4/10 - Finished the back of the cardigan!

Sept 20/10 - Finished the right side!

Dec 28/10 - I have finished the 3 pieces and attached them at the shoulder. Now for knitting 326 sitches for the border!!

Dec 29/10 - Sew the sides to see how it fits. I'm going to do a garter band rather then the pattern since I don't want it to roll up. Picking up over 300 stitches takes a while!

Apr 2/11 - Finally took a picture of me wearing it. It's a bit long but otherwise I love it!!

I love projects that can be done in an hour! It was great fun and now I have to make snowmen necklaces for the girls.

Little Joys

Sanguine Gryhon was having a naming contest. People entered by telling their personal stories about a special place. Then people would click on "love" for the stories they liked. I wrote about the place I went to in Grade 12 for a school trip without parents. Here is the story:

The most beautiful and peaceful place I’ve been to was BAMFIELD (actually Bamfield Marine Station). It was my first trip without my parents. It was a school trip during Grade 12. It was funny how my fellow students were freaked out by the shrimp with heads. What did you think that shrimps didn’t have heads? I’m Asian so fresh/frozen shrimp is a staple at our house.

Here is a link to a picture on a sun day. Mine was taken early morning with the mist on the water.

Winners of the contest got to win a skein of their name in Traveller (dk weight) or Little Traveller (sock weight). I picked the dk weight and here is the picture of my skein. It was really hard to capture all the colors!

Here is the picture on the Sanguine Gryphon web site:

Red Wrap - DONE!!!

Started May 28/10 Finished Dec 20/10

I'm using my new Addi Turbo Lace needles for this project!

Dec 20/10 - I can't believe that I'm finally done this project. It wasn't hard but I got bored with the pattern and its the reason why I have so many WIP. I wish now that I hadn't casted on 103 stitches for a wider wrap since its now pretty small. I'm going to try to block the heck out of it and hope for the best.

Third Try Hat - DONE!

Started Dec 7/10 Finished Dec 16/10

This is called the third try hat because it took 3 tries before getting to this point. I tried another pattern that was from the top down. When I got to about 40 out of the 50 stitches, it still looked like it was big enough for a doll. I've tried this one on my big head and it seems to fit so far!
