Scrappy Blanket - DONE!

This is my 2nd scrappy blanket attempt. I frogged the first one since I like this one better. I don't like sewing pieces together and this one just lets me continue. This will be a long on going project with requests for 3 more already! It's going to be more of a triangle then rectangle (which is what I was trying for)

Knitting and Spinning for 2016!

I use to post pictures of all the items that I finished in a year.  It's way too hard to do that now.  I will give some pictures and a summary of what I managed to knit (or not knit).

In the Works In Progress (WIP) I have 6 shawls, 2 cardigans, 4 socks, 1 hat, 1 scarf, 4 blankets, 1 shrug and one Christmas item.

In the finish object (FO) I have 16 shawls (lots of test knits), 10 socks (that is a lot for me!), 7 hats (again lots of test knits), 1HUGE mermaid blanket, 1 Christmas (teacher gifts), 2 wash cloths, 2 slippers, 5 sample knits (hats, mitts, shawls), 2 cowls, 3 robots, 1 scarf and 1 fingerless gloves!

I managed to spin 22 hand spun yarns.

At the Arizona State Fair I won Best in Show and apparently Best Spinner for one of my yarns.  One yarn got 1st and the other got nothing.  My knitted items won 2nd place for a hat, 1st place for a hat, 1st place for a shawl and 2nd place for another shawl.

At Cochise County Fair I won First place for my three yarns, 2 hats and 2 shawls!

I already know that I have a hat and cowl coming as sample knits.  My goal for 2017 is to try to finish off some of the WIP that have gone on for years now.  Blankets I don't really count since some of them are scrappy ones.  Wishing everyone the best for 2017!
