Sept 28/16 - I agree with the others who have knitted the pattern. I would go with a lot less stitches for the thumb. It's HUGE.
Started the first one with Size 7. Did 2nd one Size 6 much better. Only did 13 stitch for thumb.
Needles: Size 6 circular
Yarn: Cestari Super Fine Merino 2 ply Aran in Black Rose, Thistle Pod, Wheat and Sage
