I knitted the stockinette until the distance between Chart 2 and the garter bind off till 2". I tried to do the picot bind off but it was just way too loose. I switch to size 1 before doing the garter bind off. I did an extra knit and purl round before binding off. Since the glove is large for me, I didn't worry about a stretchy bind off.
I added 4 stitches to the thumb and knitted an extra 4 rounds before switching to size 1 needles to do the garter bind off.
Nov 9/14 - finished the first glove
