Blue Wing Shawl Camp Loopy #2 - DONE!

Started Jun 27/12
Finished Jul 10/12

This project must be done by Jul 27/12 and must be 800 yards.  The color was suppose to be one of your country's flag.  I picked blue.

Jul 1/12 - I might have to add to this shawl to get 800 yards knitted. I’ve knitted the right side and only used 256 yards.

Jul 6/12 - I’ve finished the shawl but have lots of yarn left. I kitchener the 2 pieces together instead of the 3 needle bind off. I will pick up stitches from the top edge and knit till I have used most of the yarn.

Jul 7/12 - I’ve finished but only used 513 yards so I will be adding to the top of the shawl about 60 rows. I’ve added 20 already but need to increase each side so it will look right.

Earthquake Camp Loopy Shawl - DONE!

Started Aug 15/11
Finished Sept 5/11

My last Camp Loopy project! It has a due date of Sept 15/11. This yarn is very soft to work with and the coloring is very interesting. I didn't think I would like the combination of purple/brown/green. I wanted a wider shawl so I casted on 106 stitches.

Camp Loopy Red Mitts - DONE!

Started Jul 15/11
Finished Jul 24/11

This project has a due date of Aug 15/11.

Jul 15/11 - Instructions don’t have the # of cast on so I counted the stitches in the 1st row instructions. Will cast on 36 stitches.

Jul 17/11 - It’s not looking right so will redo. Cast on 45 stitches and try this pattern instead:

row 1,2 & 4 P2 (K4,P2,K1,P2) repeat 4x K4, P2, K1
row 3 P3 (sl 2 on dpn back, k2, k2 on dpn, p2,k1,p2) repeat 4x cable 2, p2, k1

I repeated the 4 rows 8 times. Then knitted 4 rows. Did a thumb increase:
K7, M1R, K1, M1L, K rest of row
K
K7, M1R, K3, M1L, K rest of row
K
Continue until you have increased 13 stitches. Put 13 stitches on waste yarn.

Continue knitting until 3 1/2” from thumb, or desired length.
Decrease rows -- -K6, K2tog- K , -K5, K2tog-, continue until K1, K2 tog, Decrease until only 8 st left.

Thumb -- Put 13 sts on needles and pick up 4 stitches for a total of 17.
Decrease K2, K2tog, next row knit plain, third row K1, K2tog. Thread through remaining stitches.

Jul 19/11 - finished the first mitt!

Needles: Size 3 circulars

Yarn: Dream in Color Classy in Valentine

Blue Loopy Groupie Shawl - DONE!

Started Jun 15/11
Finished Jul 2/11

This is part of Camp Loopy. It's a project that needs to be knitted between Jun 15 & Jul 15. I don't usually do good with deadlines but I'm going to try. I didn't think I could even be a part of this camp since we had to be evacuated due to wildfires in AZ.

Jun 26/11 - gotten back into knitting and knitted one skein so my about 1/4 done and 220 yards into my project!

Jun 28/11 - half way done!

Jul 2/11 - done! Had issues with my needles at the end so the bind off looks terrible. Just needs to be washed & blocked!

Needles: Size 4 & 7 circulars
